Phil winced, just slightly, but carried on taking the pitcher out of the fridge. He hesitated before reaching up to get glasses out of the cupboard. He knew they were up there, but he tended to just use the same mug all the time, and it was easier just to keep it on the counter after washing it. Bracing himself, he lifted his arms and ignored the twinge of pain that came as he pulled out two glasses. Carefully he filled both of them with ice tea and handed one to Clint, with his right hand.
"You have every right to be angry," he began, after taking a sip. "But it was necessary. To ensure the success of the Avengers Initiative." He regarded Clint thoughtfully. "They told me what happened after I checked out for a while. You, all of you... saved the world. My death is nothing compared to that."
