"If I sleep now, I'm just going to feel more tired." Phil shrugged regretfully at her and shifted the car into drive, pulling out into the main thoroughfare. "There's a limit I can reach, under a number of hours... that just registers as a nap, and refreshes me. Go over that and my body gets demanding." He sighed. "And I have enough demanding bodies at work."

He signaled and merged onto the US-9, glancing over his shoulder briefly, his eye catching hers on the way back. "Yourself excluded, of course."
