He walked back into the little kitchenette, pouring some coffee he'd ground the night before into a filter, and setting up the coffee pot. He took two mugs down from the cabinet, setting them beside it, and then two spoons. When everything was ready, he walked back out to where Carol stood. "I could keep a particular kind... on hand for you." Then he colored again, realizing that sounded like he was expecting her to be over all the time. Navigating this tactfully was like trying to navigate a minefield with a fork on a wire.
